  • Descrizione: Lithuanian folk wedding. Groom and bride are dancers of folk song and dance ensemble "Lithuania" – Viktorija Norkūnaitė and Juozas Petraitis. Wedding participants are the ensemble’s members and leaders. Wedding participants, best men decorate the horses. Herald, matchmaker and matron of honor are ready for wedding. Groom J. Petraitis with his best men, matron of honor and the matchmaker comes out of his house and goes to the bride. Relatives, friends and musicians go as well. Wedding squad goes through Gediminas Avenue. A lot of people in the street watch the spectacle. Bride Viktorija Norkūnaitė is surrounded by friends, and is comforted by his mother. She is waiting for the groom. Friends weave the rue crown for the bride. Girls are dancing folk dances, bride says goodbye to friends. The groom with the retinue goes through the streets of Vilnius, enters the house of bride. Curious watchers of the wedding. Escort of the groom arrives at the closed gates. "Buying out" the way to the bride. Groom's retinue meets the bride’s guardians of the door. After lengthy negotiations three representatives of the groom are allowed to the bride. Folk song and dance ensemble’s "Lithuania" manager Jonas Švedas asks a lot of puzzles for the escort of groom. Bride with friends is hidden under the wedding cover – one can only see arms of the girls. Matchmaker selects the bride and leads her to the groom. Guests are singing the wedding songs. Bride says goodbye to her mother, father and sister. Groom and bride are signing the marriage documents in the Marriage Palace. All participants of the wedding are coming back home. Matron of honor and matchmaker lead groom and bride to their room. The door of the room are blocked by various objects – tables, chairs and so on. Guests are having fun.
